This course is a basic education for entomology and serves as a pre-requisite course for foreign-language students in entomology who are unable to take the Chinese language General Entomology course (ENT1010). Taiwanese students and students who speak Chinese should take that course and not this one. The full-year course introduces the main research areas of entomology. The instructor is responsible for the curriculum planning in this field; the content over the full year includes insect morphology, internal anatomy, physiology, classification, and ecology, as well as the methods of field collection and research.
